To facilitate and provide squad size military reunions for veterans and their families.

The Squad is a component fund of Chesapeake Charities that was founded by U.S. Army veterans who served together during the Global War on Terror. Years after deploying side by side, a few of us reunited and rediscovered something powerful: time spent with the people we served alongside brings a sense of connection, healing, and renewal that is hard to find anywhere else. Those reunions inspired us to create The Squad so other veterans could experience the same.

Chesapeake Charities is a tax-exempt community foundation located in Stevensville, Maryland that serves as a vital center of knowledge for donors, nonprofits, businesses, government, and citizens in the Chesapeake Bay region. As experts in philanthropy, they connect people, organizations, and donors with one another to have a greater collective impact. Chesapeake Charities helps nonprofits manage their operating reserves and endowments and strengthen their organizations to better serve constituents. They provide financial, legal, and administrative services for more than 100 nonprofit organizations in nine Maryland counties: Anne Arundel, Calvert, Caroline, Charles, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, St. Mary’s and Talbot.
